Description
Style is a reading and writing series for English language learners who need to further develop these skills in preparation for academic work or to achieve a personal goal. Comprised of two volumes, it takes students from high-beginner through high-intermediate levels. It effectively helps to overcome the “writer’s block” that student writers often encounter. Everyday Writing is the first book of this two-level series. It is based on the conviction that the prior knowledge students bring to a writing situation plays a crucial role in their text production. The knowledge and insight acquired through the reading process help students formulate and express their own thoughts and serve as a motor to generate new ideas. Furthermore, students learn best when they read and write about issues that concern them.
